By creating an account on Ocellus, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Ocellus. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement. Children under 13 may not create an account or use the community, messaging, or marketplace features.
Where required by law, minors must have verifiable parental or guardian consent to use Ocellus — in the EU/EEA this applies to users under 16 (GDPR Art. 8), and in India to users under 18 (DPDP Act). We ask for this consent during sign-up. Users aged 13–17 receive additional protections (see Section 4).
You must provide accurate information — including your real date of birth — when creating an account. Providing false information, including a false age, is a violation of these Terms.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant Ocellus a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute that content within the platform.
Reporting & review. Any community post can be reported. A post that receives multiple reports is automatically hidden from the feed pending review by our team, who may remove or restore it. We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice. We are not responsible for content posted by users, but we act on reports.
Blocking. You can block any user. Blocking hides their posts from you and prevents either of you from messaging the other.
Direct messages. Private messages are not pre-screened or automatically monitored. You can report and block other users at any time. When you report another user, our moderators may review the conversation between you and that user — limited to the most recent messages leading up to your report (currently up to the last 30) — to investigate it and take action (such as muting or restricting the account). We do not browse your wider inbox or your conversations with other people: access is limited to the reported conversation, only for users who have been reported, and only for moderation purposes. Illegal content — in particular any child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — is strictly prohibited everywhere on Ocellus, including in private messages, and will be removed and reported to the relevant authorities.
Mutes & restrictions. Accounts that breach these Terms may be muted — temporarily blocked from posting, commenting, and messaging — with the duration increasing for repeat breaches. When you report another user, that user is also prevented from seeing or contacting you.
Protection of minors. Users aged 13–17 receive additional protections: adult content is prohibited platform-wide, and we do not show minors behavioural or targeted advertising. Reporting and blocking tools are available on every post and conversation, and we are rolling out further safeguards for minor accounts, including restrictions on unsolicited direct messages.
Ocellus provides a marketplace where users can offer and purchase services. Ocellus acts as an intermediary only — we are not a party to any agreement between buyers and sellers.
All payments between users are processed through Eyes (see Section 13). Ocellus charges a platform fee of 8–10% of the transaction value (minimum €0.50 / ₹45), deducted from the seller's payout.
Disputes: if a buyer believes a service was not delivered as agreed, they may raise a dispute within 7 days of the agreed delivery date. Ocellus will review and arbitrate. Credits are held in escrow until the dispute is resolved or the 7-day window expires.
Ocellus may display contextual advertisements based on your stated interests and age tier — not behavioural tracking. We do not show behavioural or targeted ads to users aged 13–17.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity. You may also close your account at any time.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.
Ocellus is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the platform will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ocellus and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you retain any statutory rights under your local law.
We may update these Terms. We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
What they are. Eyes are prepaid in-app credits that can be used within the Ocellus platform to pay for services in the marketplace, tip creators, or access premium features. They are not currency, not e-money, and do not accrue interest.
Purchasing Eyes. You may purchase Eyes via the Credits tab. The price and available amounts are shown at the time of purchase. All sales of Eyes are final once payment is confirmed — they cannot be refunded simply because you changed your mind.
Using Eyes. Eyes can be spent on the platform as described above. Buyers cannot redeem Eyes for real money. Eyes spent on a purchase are non-refundable except in cases of a successful dispute resolution (see Section 5).
Selling back credits. Sellers who have received credits via the marketplace may request a cash payout through the Sell Back feature. Payouts are subject to availability, processed at Veyra's current buy-back rate, and may take 3–5 business days. Veyra reserves the right to pause or limit sell-backs at any time with reasonable notice.
Expiry. Credits do not expire while your account is active. If your account is suspended or terminated for violating these Terms, any remaining credits are forfeited.
Taxes. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your transactions under local law.
